This ancient mosque named Moajjemabad can be seen in Mahajampur of Sonargaon upazila of Narayanganj district. Locally, this mosque is also known as Mahajampur Shahi Mosque. It is a six-domed mosque. According to the inscription, the mosque was built by a person named Firoz Khan, during the reign of Sultan Shams Al-Din Ahmad Shah (1432 to 36). So it is known as Ahmad Shah's mosque. Mahajampur's former name was Moajjemabad. Moajjemabad is a famous place of the Sultanate period. Here is the mint and administration center of the Sultan. The mosque is believed to be the oldest among the ancient mosques in Bangladesh. There are many things in the past that are not present in the mosque. A mazar Sharif will be seen near the mosque. The shrine of a saint named Shah Langar.
